About the Authors
Jeff and James Jay, brothers from a small town in Nebraska, have joined forces to bring us a new perspective on the importance of biblical discipleship. Their life experiences bring the best from both worlds, officer and enlisted, clergyman and layperson.
Jeff is currently an Army Chaplain enjoying this awesome place for ministry. He is able to walk alongside men and women during their most difficult and satisfying times in life. He has two combat tours to Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is a 2010 Masters of Theology in Ethics graduate from Duke Divinity School, Durham, NC., he received a Masters of Divinity from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Springfield, MO, in 2000 and holds a Bachelor of Arts Bible/Ministerial from Trinity Bible College, Ellendale, ND, in 1993. Jeff has traveled the world several times over since joining the Army. He has been happily married to Lisa for over twenty years, they have five children: Kourtney, Brittney, Heather, Jesse, and Promise.
James has a myriad of church teaching and music ministry experience but enjoys evangelism the most. He spent four years in the United States Army as an Infantryman during Operation Desert Storm. James is a North Central University, Minneapolis, MN, graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Theatre. Currently, he is a graduate student studying organizational management and sports at Chadron State College, Chadron, NE. He spent the last several years working as a K thru 12 substitute teacher, and is also a certified coach.
