Christians: More Than Spectators

Bible Basic Training Army Boots

You are a spiritual spectator if...

  • It would take you more than a minute to find your Bible

  • You only pray when you need something

  • You only talk to the people you go to church with while you are at church

  • The acts of the sinful nature are growing within you and the fruit of the Spirit are not? (see Galatians 5:19-25)

  • You are unfamiliar with Basic Old Testament thoughts from Scripture, like who are Adam and Eve, Moses, Noah, Abraham or David? Why did God flood the Earth?

  • You are unfamiliar with Basic New Testament thoughts from Scripture, like who were the disciples or Jesus? How did Jesus die? Why did he die? What is Salvation and who needs it? What is Repentance and Forgiveness?

Bible Basic Training is the first book in the Enlistment Series, and helps you get into the action and a spiritual life.

Spiritual spectators may be new believers or seasoned veterans. Spectators are mentioned in Scripture as being people who have a form of godliness but no power. (see 2 Timothy 3:2-5) Spectators are going through the motions but little more. They visit with God but are not being changed by him. Truthfully, their understanding of who God is and who they are in Christ is underdeveloped. If this sounds like you or someone you know Bible Basic Training can help you begin becoming the spiritual person you are wanting to be.
